Private hire questions, answered
What exactly do we get with a private hire?+
The entire playground, exclusively yours for the evening — all five levels and the toddler zone, with no public entry during your event. (Party rooms aren't included in a private hire.)
What are the hire hours?+
Private hires run in the evening after public hours. Setup begins at 4:45pm, your guests enter from 5:30pm, and the hire runs for four hours.
How does payment work?+
A 50% deposit secures your date (non-refundable). The balance and a refundable bond are due the week of your event — pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Afterpay.
What's the bond for?+
It's fully refunded after your event, less any damage, excessive mess or overtime. Most events get it back in full.
Can we bring our own food?+
Yes — because our café is closed during private hires, you're welcome to bring your own food and cake. We're a strictly nut-free venue, so please keep everything nut-free. Prefer us to handle it? Our café can cater platters, pizzas, drinks and desserts — add them to your booking any time before the event.
Can we add entertainment?+
Yes — face painters, balloon artists, science shows, bubble shows and character visits from our trusted partners, plus custom cakes. Add them from Manage Booking and we confirm each one with the supplier.
Do the venue rules still apply?+
Yes — socks for everyone (adults too), and children are supervised by your group's adults at all times. We'll have our team on site to help run the night.
